Brian L. McGee, M.D. - Double Board Certified - Gastroenterology, Hepatology, & Advanced Endoscopy

Digestive Disease Specialists of Central Arkansas, Medical Director

When it comes to Dr. Brian McGee’s philosophy, the patient always comes first! To him, an oath to care for people is not just empty words spoken at a graduation, and his secret to success is that he does his best for every single patient.

Dr. McGee is double board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He is also a member of C.H.A.D. — Colorectal Health Advocates & Doctors — whose mission is to "X out (eradicate) colon cancer." Visit wearechad.org to learn more.

Dr. McGee was honored with the 2022 SCOPY CRC (Colorectal Cancer) Superheroes Award from the American College of Gastroenterology. Last year he was one of 26 recipients given this international service award for CRC outreach, prevention and year-round excellence. Dr. McGee is the second gastroenterologist in Arkansas to ever receive this award.

Away from medicine, Dr. McGee’s family comes first. He and his wife Lara stay busy with their four children: Leyla, a student at Pulaski Academy, and triplets nicknamed McG3. Dr. McGee enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding his bike, playing golf, reading, traveling and watching nearly any sport.

“You think your pain and heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read.” - James Baldwin
